I work with sexual problems that are psychological. I am glad to talk by phone to answer questions and discuss therapy, before making an appointment. I talk with people in a professional setting without recording devices. Sessions are completely confidential unless permission for disclosure is given. I try to help a person understand his or her choices and/or problems so that a person can make intelligent decisions and have a rewarding sex life.

I treat a wide range of sexual issues: difficulties with orgasm, erections, premature ejaculation, lack of sexual interest, difficulty with arousal, promiscuity, affairs, distrust, jealousy, unwanted fantasies, gay verses straight issues, conflict in a heterosexual relationship, conflict in a gay relationship, needless anxieties, and many other issues.

In my view, sexuality lends itself to the expression of conflicts within us. Because it is a powerful pleasurable drive, demanding expression, it lends itself to the expression of many complicated feelings beyond sex. Just as hunger and eating that can express other conflicts, so it is that the sex drive can also express various conflicts. I help people understand these conflicts---as well as understand sexual expressions that may not be conflicted, or need not be conflicted.

Although I am not judgmental, a person can be judgmental with him or herself. I want to help a person work out his or her sex life in whatever way works best for that person without hurting oneself or anybody else.
